I have been raising birds for almost 10 years now and just introduced myself to peafowl. I received two peachicks in July but lost one along the way. I have one, named Poe (photos). I have yet to figure out if he is a boy or girl (I have been calling it a boy since the beginning). When it was a baby it also strutted a few times for the other chick… but I was wondering if anyone could identify the sex. He’s very affectionate and follows me everywhere/ perched on my shoulder without hesitation. As I said He is extremely friendly and it is just killing me not knowing if it’s a boy or girl. I have considered there is some Spalding genetics but I may be wrong.
