Peafowl Sound Clips

Thanks DylansMom! It sure surprised me to hear that call..and yes it was the long drawn out Heeelllp! The whole senario is rather funny actually as 2 years ago we rented another farm in the area and it had a male peacock that had been "left" there by previous owners..he was quite shy though, and uncatchable so he stayed there. we wanted to get a female for him so we could hatch the eggs... now we moved here (another farm) and a girl shows up

That is one of those "Murphy's Law" type scenarios for sure.

As for the vocalizations, I about fell over when my hen let out her first crow, she was nice enough to repeat it several times right in front of me so there was no doubt where it was coming from. She would stretch up nice and tall and flap her wings while doing it, just like a roo, and even started to do a little dance and try to herd our other little Serama hen around, too funny! Love to hear if she keeps it up, and if you were closer I'd be offering to drop a male off about now.
