are they called pied LOL I am not sure they are really pretty though I hate the noise they make.

They are pretty confused this morning - like they woke up and think they are in a dream or something!

I can't wait to see them scratching around as they have always been in a pen with a dirt floor and no vegetation to graze through.

They won't come off the roost at the moment though - can't blame them really - I know they must be greatly bewildered!

I have to ask though; what does one do with them? Are they just to have as pets? Or what?

I had my hubby ask the breeder who gave them to us.

Officially they are:

Purple Black-shouldered Silver white-eyed Pieds.

Dang...doesn't that about make them mutts?? LOL

They have settled in nicely now - although they still haven't figured out that there is netting above their heads and every so often they fly right into it. I LOVE the noises they make - a little ticking sound when they get nervous, a great big ole HOOONNKK when they get disturbed and a funny sound between a chirp and a honk when they are wondering where their buddies are.

I'm FINALLY almost done with the siding on the 'palace' - will post final pics when I get the last couple of pieces of siding up.

I love them! They are beautiful, and their palace looks great. They look like they'll settle in nicely!
