Peafowls predator alert call?

That's not it.
So that's not their alert call?
We have lots of them here where I live but I just moved in a few months ago & I'm learning all this. I've noticed our peafowl make some noises I havent heard on the peafowl videos on YouTube.
But I know different peafowl flocks can have calls unique to that flock.

It's a short guttural call, when you see them scatter for cover it was the call just before that. Here, the eagles and hawks will make them stare at the sky and make them pay great attention but usually don't make them run. It is when one of the birds of prey sneaks up on them that they get scared and run for cover.

I have seen a great example on YouTube of a hen and chicks free ranging when a hawk comes along the hen made the alert sending the chicks into the brush and she actually flew off after the hawk. I'll see if I can find it.
