I had a egg under a broody and she was off it a whole night I put it back under her when I found it and it was alive the next time I candled.Today...
I opened the coop door to let Peanut out for a few minutes. Usually she is off the nest for 10-15 minutes. I have heard it is okay for the broody to be off the nest for up to an hour.
The wind shut the door, and by the time I went to check on her, she had been off the nest for about two hours. She is back on the nest, but the eggs were cold to touch.
My question is: do the eggs still have a chance??
