Peanuts as a treat

Can chickens eat roasted unsalted unshelled peanuts?

They can eat them shelled...I don't know about unshelled.

I would toss some out and see if they can get through the shell. First, though, I would break one or two open and throw the whole thing on the ground so they get the idea.

They are high in fat and thus are good for treats but not as the main source of protein for poultry (fatty liver). I used to feed them as part of a feed recipe.
