pearl white leghorn 4 1/2 months

When I bought mine they said it was a pearl white leghorn

Feed store employees are notorious for mixing up chicks and selling the wrong chicks to people. There was one guy on BYC who thought he bought 50 white broilers and ended up with 50 white leghorn pullets.

I think it's a poor quality white Orpington, not a white Rock, because of the white legs. It's not a good quality whatever it is, which happens especially with hatchery birds.

I got a chicken whose best description would be a lightly feather legged Freedom Ranger or broiler. From the EE bin. Of six sexed EE pullets, I got that chick and a Roo. So only four were pullets. They did have Rangers, btw, which were not on the list. Don't know for sure what that chick was, as a dog got it at about 8 weeks old. In other words, their employees can be, inept, when it comes to properly placing chicks in bins. They wouldn't sell me my EE until a certain person got in to be sure that the box of chicks they thought were EE were actually that. And still they got it wrong.

Geez. Well as long as its not a rooster it can be whatever breed I suppose. When I first got them they were black chicks and turned white when feathers came in. I don't know why.

And please excuse all the caps up there, just copied over what was on the chick list, and they used caps. Hopefully you get the girl you want the chick to turn out to be.
