I picked up a pair of peafowl mid-June, kept them in their pen for a month and let them out. Now they are roaming all over the yard. Roosting in the weirdest places like on top of my beer fridge or the top of the chicken run (btw, hens don't like it as much as I do)

They eat out of everyone's feeder (but not their own). They even stand there next to my barn cats and eat cat food right along side of them! (must not be enough protein in the layer formula I feed them?)

So far, they haven't been on any roofs or vehicles. I hope they don't wander away. They are too beautiful (and expensive) to lose.

Just checking in. Didn't have any questions. Thanks to all of you who answered the questions I did have!

Really jealous of you, I want peafowl really bad but I asked all my neighbors if they would mind me getting a pair ( I thought it was only fair since they can be noisy) and every one of them said they would love to have peafowl in the neighborhood... except one. So, I have to respect him... he gets up early like I do, I get up at 12 midnight for work he gets up around 4 AM.

Ours are the same way, one male has a set routine. Every morning he goes for a walk around the yard, always stops by the garden for a bite or two and does the same thing in the late afternoon.
