One of my rescued hens, Pebbles has OBVIOUSLY went broody, YAY! I walked in the coop today to find her sitting on top of my Cochin hen & her 9 eggs

At first i thought maybe i just finally caught one of them laying but MAN, did she have a cow when i moved her to collect the new, extra eggs under franny.

I Just got a dozen duck eggs froma friend so I will set those under Pebbles and give franny some fresh eggs since all her muscovy eggs died because of too much nest sharing (i think).

Will post pics later!

She hasnt started pulling out the fluff yet but she's definitely got the attitude and keeps going back to her nest....now if the cochin hen would just stop trying to steal it back, lol.

When i first found her today..LOL

awe she's cute. she looks like a super hero with her crauncling. i like it. super cute. SUPER PEBBLES TO THE NEST RESCUE! hopefully she can keep her nest and the chicken will go else where lol. she's too cute. i love her colors

I think they've finally settled but i will have to check in the morning to make sure. Pebs looks all gross because everytime she gets off the nest the boys go after her & its been raining a lot here

.

I'm excited to see what comes out of the little mutt eggs she's got...but still a little sad they arent Muscovy eggs!

Weird thing is she never even really got her "mommy tummy"...everyone else blew up, lol.

The little brats wont seperate their nests. I took all the new eggs away and gave them wood eggs for now, until i figure something out...might just have to move the cochins sooner than i wanted to

ETA: At least the chicken was on top of the duck this time instead of the fattie duck squishin the air out of the cochin
