Peck hole in the shell..is the egg still good?

My girls just started to lay last week (3 Golden Comet and 1 Buff Orp). We have gotten 4 beautiful little eggs so far. Two have had a small hole in the shell but not through the membrane. These are my first eggs ever so I wasn't sure if we could eat these, so the dog got to enjoy a fresh egg.

I am assuming one of the hens is curious and gave the egg a love tap.

I rush home from work to check those nest boxes. We are having a blast with our girls!!!

I occasionally get eggs with peck holes. We eat those eggs first.
