One of my sweet little BO chicks got pecked yesterday. I went out to run errands and they were all fine. When I came back 2-3 hrs later this little girl had a 2cm pecked spot on her back! I have separated her with one of the other docile BO chicks and have added more protein in the form of hardboiled egg to all of their diets. I have read other threads about boredom, and preventing pecking, my question is how long, in anyone's experience, will she have to be separate? How long does it usually take for those feathers to come back? That spot is completely bald and was a little bloody last night, although it was better this morning. Thanks for the input! They are moving out to the coop tomorrow, so hopefully the extra space will help.
