Pecked hen?

My smallest hen has a slight bald spot around her tail.
I have a rooster, but I'm not sure he's breeding yet.

Not sure if previous message went through. If roo isn’t mounting her, looks like she’s getting pecked. You probably have a bully. Where does she rank in your flock? You should observe the flock to see if any hens are going after her or if she is avoiding any hens. Make sure there is multiple food & water dishes so there isn’t any resource guarding. Also look at them on the roost- is someone pecking her there? I had a bully badly injure another hen- started with feather plucking then drew blood and caused a large wound. Took a month to heal the open wound. Tried putting the bully in jail but didn’t work so re-homed the bully to a farm.
