I got chickens pecking the side of their coop. It's painted with "kilz" primer. I had intended to paint it but now wonder if I just shouldn't cover the siding with unpainted/treated wood paneling. It looks bad. These are hens and you would think they'd be making the place look pretty. Hanging curtains and planting flowers. I must have gotten low classed hens. This is a high classed neighborhood and I can't have a trashy looking coop. Anyone have any ideas what to do, to stop them or put something up that won't look bad? Glad I didn't put up the window box. Next thing you know they'll have junk cars all over the place.

Mine pecked at the paint for the first few days but realized it wasn't food and left it alone. Maybe they will quit after a while. Sounds like they may be getting board.

Do you mean bored? Oh now I get it "board" cause the coops made out of boards. Ha, Ha. That too, but it still isn't good. Anyhow they've been doing it for a while. I've decided to glue pictures of my mother in law on the side of the coop that way me and the chickens will both get some enjoyment out of their pecking.
