Pecking order behavior or just plain mean???

Quote: Cockerels are usually easy to ID by 5-6 weeks when the color on combs and wattles will start to stand out.
Size and coloring on combs/wattles can depend on breed, some are not so easy to ID until 4-5 months by hackle and saddle feathers.

Yes actually im having a bit of trouble with one of my girls .. she started acting weak today so I picked her up to check her bottom and it was red swollen and looked very bad I used warm water and a wash rag to remove any blockage I could see but she still is acting very weak and like she is in pain... do you know what this could be?? Orr how I could help her?

One of my chicks looked a little like that but she didn't have a swollen butt like that, that looks pretty bad. :( maybe try putting some olive oil on it too to prevent it from getting clogged again? Or a Q Tip to get more? Do you have any Sav-A-Chick or NutriDrench you could give her? Mine ended up dying the mext day so I really hope you can save yours :(

Also on the Mama Heating Pad thread I think this maybe came up once. I hope you get it solved and someone here can help. If not perhaps @Blooie or @Beekissed can, theyre from the mhp thread i mentioned and seem to know a lot. Just trying to think of anyone else who might know but I'm blanking. But perhaps someone will see this and help. And also perhaps try making that a separate thready and posting it on the emergencies and diseases section??? You might get more responses that way. Good luck!

Aw that stinks :( but yeah, definitely sad!! Just make sure she's comfortable, warm, and safe and that's really all you can do i suppose :/
