pecking order or a rooster??? **pics heavy**

I've got 10 little chicks - 7 weeks old (I guess their not so little anymore

) and I've noticed that they kinda do this stance and stick their necks up and get in the other chicks face... like a face off. Is this a typical chicken behavior ...or is this a rooster behavior? None of my chickens really have large combs yet.

They all do it as chicks, my 4 week old pullets are doing it too:>)

I had two chicks (8 weeks old) that did the whole rooster kick each other thing, I was just hoping it was normal...I am guessing it is???

yea they are just trying to establish a pecking order, my barred rocks chicks are doing it also.....

They all do it. I think they do it just to freak us humans out by making us think they are all roos

Tom, an EE pullet and Jerry, a Leghorn cockerel, would chest bump each other.

Here's a few photos of one that I'm not sure of - I htink he's a roo. I am sooo sorry for these lousy photos... it's kinda like trying to push anoodle uphill. I couldn't get them to slow down and everytime I tried to hold him he wiggled and I couldn't get a good shot. (didn't have anyone to help out.

im thinking the one in the first pic is a rooster. but im not real sure....the black one looks like a hen.
