Pecking order

The chicken at the top of the pecking order has hurt her leg and appears to be limping, will her weakness affect the pecking order?

Depends. If she's truly hurt then yes, but she'd have to be in a pretty bad way. Chickens are tough. Her leg would have to be badly injured for it to alter the pecking order.

Also, if you're unsure why she's limping, check the bottom pad of her foot. If she has a big scabby looking thing on it (and if she's limping the pad would probably be swelled up a bit), then you should treat her for bumblefoot.
