Rubber duck 🦆

We have put the rest of the ducks up in the coop and she is now very relaxed and sitting on her eggs, and two hatched chicks.

I would be cautious of a drake some could care less others can harm. I usually keep my mama duck and duckling separate with fencing so everyone can see each other and integration goes better, that way the ducklings are safe until they are at least 2 weeks old. Others may have a different approach.
Be sure to post pictures of them all once hatch is done we love pictrures.

And Welcome to BYC!
I must say, our guy is a real gentleman. He is very sweet with his female.

I love them, they are beautiful. Did babies follow mom back to the nest?

I hope the rest hatch in the next few days she'll feel obligated to get up and take care of the ones that have already hatched. She may leave the nest and eggs that haven't hatched.
She has left the nest with the busy baby’s. I did put them all up in a big dog kennel and closed her in. I also opened up an already pipped egg so she can hear the baby. Left her to settle for half an hour and she is back on the nest with the remaining 3 eggs and chick that was hatched last night. It is still very floppy but warm and dry.

Final outcome.
2 eggs where not hatching I candled them and saw that both chicks where not moving. I opened the shell, and discovered that one chick was dead and the other moments away from dying. It had all of its organs on the outside of its body. They both were moving last night. Who knows.

We have 6 happy chicks under mamma duck tucked in and safe and warm.
