Pecking wound? Or fowl pox?

thanks that is great info to have on hand!! i think i might go ahead and vacinate my other birds as well just in case thanks again!!

i will. i have been trying to find the vaccine but NOTHING local only on the net. im worried if i order it online by the time it gets here my other birds will be infected and it will be a waste of money. Can the dry pox turn into the wet pox? Or will it just stay as what ever virus it is dry or wet?

Everything I read says that it moves thru a flock slowy and I have no idea if dry can turn into wet, this is the first time I've had to deal with it.

Of course you can call me Kathy, lol. I got tired of people calling casport, caspor, etc, so I started signing my posts. Thanks for the link... I don't know if it prevents all forms of pox, like I said before, this is new for me. Did they happen to mention the expiration date on the vaccine?

Hello again Kathy. I have a update on my hen. The big scab over her eye fell of but her eye is still closed. But she honestly looks better. So far no more birds show any signs of the virus. Hopefully the vaccine will be here by Friday, then I can vaccinate the others.
