My husband pees outside all the time. The boys do too, but sometimes I have to remind them not to in the front yard where people can see.
I walk my male dog around the perimeter once a week to mark it.

I live in the suburbs and I'm a backyard pee-in machine

Mainly at night and on my compost pile. Sometimes I just whiz in a bucket near the garage and haul it to the compost pile the next day.

I'm not worried about the chickens.

I did so and of course one of them had to ask, "Why?" When I explained he shouted out, "K____, are you really peeing over there?" She responded in the affirmative and he said, "What about all those people driving by?" Her response was classic, "I don't know them."

I live in NW WA with a lot of alternative ideas. Here we have a free publication that heralded the benefits of peeing on your plants. It provides a nitrogen source for your plants and it is free. Actually, it says to pee around your plants and not directly on the leaves. It even talked about preferred storage containers if you don't want to let it flow freely out of doors. Heck, urine is sterile but I would think twice about letting the logs role.
