What is wrong with this chick? She has food, water a warm brooder. She will not hush! The only thing that gets her quiet is holing her. I just bought her today so I know I haven't spoiled her just yet. Any ideas? Oh she is in the brooder with7 keets and 2 other chicks.

she will be fne, it just chicks, they bad when they want to be.

If she is alone or newly hatched they tend to do that. My new borns wont shut up for a goos 24 hours. if not she is just a noisy chicky.

Newly hatched chicks will also not hush if they are cold. Check the temp and be sure it's warm enough!

make sure she isn't being picked on by the other chicks or the keets. Like the others said, she may just be a noisy chick. Another thing you might want to try is dipping her beak again. Some chicks are slow to learn the food and water thing.

She is quiet this morning.

I think she was just being noisy or did not know what in the world those crazy little guinea keets were. I watched her last night. There was no apparent reason for all the noise.
