Cool. How do you treat a broken leg with poultry? Or does it mend on its own

It depends on how severe it is, sometimes you can make a splint, sometimes you have to leave it.

I know! My miracle chicken!!! How did the peacock break its leg @TheKindaFarmGal

Such a neat story about your chicken! When he was younger, a worker there accidentally grabbed him by a leg, it twisted and broke. He gets around well, but it will never totally heal.

I've got a 3-4 month old chick that for some reason started getting a crooked leg at around 2 weeks old. It slowly got worse and worse, until it was totally sideways and he was not able to use it at all. I thought for sure he'd die, but he is alive and out in the run, along with his buddies doing wonderful! That leg just stays crooked up high, he hops around on the other.

I also have a three legged cat. He broke his leg all the way up to the hip, shattered. The ankle bone was totally separated, and the leg had to be amputated. He's a great cat, climbs trees and everything.

Our last 'disabled' animal is the owl, he has a hurt wing, possibly broken. I don't know for sure. I don't think he'll ever be able to fly, sadly.

Last week my mom was coming home from work at like 9 PM. A car slowed down in front of her and something hit its windshield. The car drove on. My mom pulled over and the car had hit an Eastern Screech Owl. Sure enough, it's still alive. She picks it up with gloves on and puts it in a small box in the back of her car. When she gets home, we put the box on a heating pad to keep the shocked owl warm. He eventually sits up snd stirs around in the covered box. Three hours later- midnight- we decide to hit the bunks, but what to do with Mr. (Or Mrs.) Owl?

Wel, we eventually decide to move him to our bathroom, which is the only place that can be locked to close out our bird-hunting cat. My mom tediously moves the box into the bathroom and...
