Collies require a lot of work. They have tons of energy and are pretty smart. They need something to do. I have BC mixes, and had their mom who was either pure BC or mostly collie.

Oh yes! Lots of work! BC's don't have an off switch! They just go and go and go and go and go and go and go and go

Yeah. It's sad, they're such a good breed when you come down to it.

Yeah. My oldest brother has working lines and they're smart, this is coming from someone who has had a BC (myself though technically she was my sisters) and right now we have English Shepherds (actually an American breed and believe it or not are about twice as smart as BCs) but show lines are just plain DUMB

Thanks. The black and white is Rex, the tri is Bob. Rex is more like a BC in personality, more high strung and has a slightly higher prey drive though he herds smaller animals like ducks and chickens better than Bob who is more laid back and easy going (and defiant) than Rex is. Bob is better at moving hogs than Rex who gets too excited but both do really well with babies and goats. Oh and they have an off switch unlike BCs
