Hi, my 5 duck eggs are due to go into lock down this evening. However I can hear peeping from inside the incubator and 2/5 eggs can be heared tapping inside their egg. Should I lock down now or wait?

I would go ahead and lock down now.
Just up the humidity and forget turning, it is no longer necessary.
They've obviously already moved into hatching position - turning just messes that up.

Thanks! I’ll do that now. Do I need to adjust the temp? It’s been at 37.5

I get that, I'm just reluctant to lower temp 4 days before the 'due to hatch date'.
I usually wait till a day or two before.
Although, since they seem to be early, lowering the temperature now may be a great move.
Just curious why the temp lowering ....with ducks only?

To the best of my knowledge, temp lowering is advisable with any species. That is because the embryo/chick is generating a lot of heat through metabolism. We read things but I don't think it is just ducks.

Never heard that one before.<scratcheshead>
