I have 18 chick that are about a week to 2 weeks old. Five different breeds but are all brown egg layers. One of them peeps all the time. I have tried different feeds and waterers. There is enough space and the heating is right. None of the other chicks are having any problems and "Peep" seems healthy but just peeps all the time. Its not loud but its like little chirps in sets of 3 or 4 peeps if that makes sense. Like I said its the only one out of 18 that does it. Does anyone have any idea on why its doing this? It will stop for a little bit if I hold it for a while.

Have you checked for pasty butt? Is she eating and drinking ok? If she's smaller than the others, maybe she's being picked on? Those are a few of the things I'd be checking out. Maybe some of the other greeters will have other ideas.

Hi and welcome to BYC - glad that you have joined us. If she's doing fine, then theres little else you can do.

All the best

Thank you all so much! When I got up this morning there was no peeping. So Im not sure what was going on but she seems to be doing better.

Just wanted to give an update real quick. Peep, as I have been calling her, has stopped most of her peeping. She still chats with the other chicks but its normal now and not crazy haha. Thanks for the help everyone
