I'll be thrilled if they do OK. i did a risky staggered hatch this time. I set my buff orp eggs and then 8 days later I got silkie eggs and added them to the incubator. I didn't even think about the hatches being a week apart. I had a great hatch with the orps, of the 10 I had in on day 18, 8 hatched, two pipped but never hatched, still 8 out of 10 is great. I had the little silkie eggs in cartons to protect them from the marauding babies, but they were exposed to the increased humidity and got less turning than they should have. I hope they do OK, I have 11 of them in there. two are peeping, lots are rocking. Wish me luck!
The most exciting thing is that they sent me a variety of colors, while, blue, splash, black and partridge, so who knows what I'll get. The flock that they came from was gorgeous, hattrick line silkies (or so they claim!

) I'm so excited to see these little guys!
