Does that new stuff keep out the gators?![]()
Gators‽ Being from the Northeast I never even thought of gators being a problem for people.. That’s one predator I would be terrified of dealing with!

Here is the area I covered. The trees were small when I put the netting up.

I have never seen a gator do that, but it would be a sight to see!I'm sure it would if gators could fly or climb.
That's so sad!Not too long ago a Red Tailed Hawk had breached the crappy netting and all total over the next couple of days, I lost 23 birds in one pen. I didn't run to get my camera because I was horrified at all of the bodies laying around in the pen. I had a Dr appointment and errands to do so I was away for quite awhile. I did check the birds before I left and they were ok. I was gone for a few hours and when I got back the birds were going crazy so I went to investigate and that is when I discovered the hawk and dead birds. There was a breach in the crappy netting where it probably got in through. I fixed it the spot. A few of the bodies, mostly pullets that were just about to start laying. I went through all of the pens looking for places that could be breached in the netting and fixed any spot where I saw a possibility, then the owl appeared one evening and went through the netting. What a surprise that was.
