Pekin Drake or duck?

Update: I have figured out how to include a video. I took him/her inside so I could try to get a better indication of the voice since at 15 weeks he/she doesn't have a drake feather. Then I got another short video of him/her with the Drake Khaki Campbell. Drake or Duck?


I have a feeling I have too many drakes. Out of 4 Khaki Campbell’s and 2 Pekins, I wonder if 4 are drakes. 2 Khakis are certainly drakes. The Pekins are huge and somewhere between 15-18 weeks old. One has mounted a Khaki duck and the other necks a male khaki, but has not mounted a duck. There are no drake feathers and I cannot distinguish their sound. Please help.

Thank you. I was hoping female. When looking at past pictures, the earliest ones I have are from April 10th, but I had them a week prior to that, maybe two. 4 drakes and 2 females has already spelled trouble and have been separated.

Thank you. So, the plumage of a female pekin has more yellow? This is good to know since all the information I have read states that a drake feather is present after 8 -12 weeks. These two are about 15 weeks. I am rehoming my drakes, but do not want to make a mistake. I absolutely love these two pekins, but cannot house that many drakes fairly.
