pekin drakes to pekin duck ratio question????

I am desperately trying to place 2 pekin drakes and have a possible offer but I don't know how to answer a question from potential home. the 2 drakes I have are 1 year old siblings(raised together, hump each other,get along with each other but not with my current pekin drake) and the potential adopter has 1 duck-a female pekin. will the 2 pekin drakes then FIGHT if there is only 1 female or is it possible they'll just share her?(which may not be nice for HER?) think I know but am desperate? thanks-katy

If either of them was as demanding as my Pekin drake- the two of them could well do some serious damage to a single female. It would not make for a happy arrangement unless the person offering to take those two is also getting a number of ducks as well.

thanks duckyfromoz,as I thought but..... I WOULD just try to find some more females for my OWN situation but given my finances I am trying to be good. have a VERY nice person a 10 hour drive from me thats offered 2x to take them but too far. will just email this other single duck person back and see if maybe THEY want to get more females!?!? thanks for jarring my sense.

Maybe you could explain it to them- and ask if they will still take the one drake. It does still leave you with one more to find a home for- BUt you may find more people willing to take on just one rather than both.

I envision this poor ONE duck sitting here alone forever(until one of my current 2 pekin pets,7 years old dies) I have a drake/female that have been together the whole time and she has limped for a year so the original plan was to find females to replace her(so the drake wouldn't be lonely when she passed) and I soooo smartly brought home these other 2 drakes(I KNEW they were boys but no one responded when I asked how boy ducks would interact) anyhow- I now have experience with how boy ducks act toward another strange boy duck! maybe I will email her back and offer her 1.
