Okay, shes got maybe 17 under her.. so I'm probably going to try to candle a few...I usually see 10-15 eggs, if the bird appears to have a hard time covering them all, some of them should be taken away if they are not far developed.
I candled some, and two didnt have any development at all.While she’s out keep her from getting back in till you candle that way you can remove any that aren’t good.
She kicked them out the next morning. Lol.Did you leave them out? no sense in putting non viable eggs back. Did you see any development in any?
Shes made her nest inside a little house we built, that doesnt have a door that closes and is on the ground outside. Shes not in the woods or anything like that. LolIs she inside a coop? She’ll keep the eggs warm.
Okay, good. After work today I found another egg she must of kicked out, I candled it, and there is a duckling in there for sure. Why would she kick it out if theres a duck in it??If she’s under cover she’ll be fine and those eggs will be just like they are under a down blanket.
