Pekin Duck Club!

My guess would be they are 3 to 3 1/2 weeks old. Here is a picture of my 3 pekins and they are 4 weeks old.

So my "Pekins" I'm beginning to think are not. I got them from TSC. They have brown feathers. It's not dirt, it's not "off" coloring......it's brown. Both ducks I picked up the same day have the same odd pattern. What could they be crossed with? I am kinda bummed, was hoping for snow white duckies.

Depending on how lucky you turn out to be, you might have either some buff colored ducks like saxonies. Can you post some pics as it is hard to tell without seeing anything? Could also be Anconas. Would have to see. But both of the ones I mentioned are rare/endangered breeds. So you have probably gotten a bargain!

I know it doesn't help with the disappointment of not having Pekins but you could also call TSC and ask which hatchery they get their ducklings from. Then maybe call there and ask what else it could be. IMHO.

I susuppose it doesnt REALLY matter, but it does bum ya out when something is represented as one thing (from a national chain, no less) and turns out it isnt. But thats life (and I know the hatchery's fault and not tractor supply's fault.)

Yep looks like it too me both very nice birds and good egg layers. lovely to look at.

Thanks! The brown is a KC, I got 4 of those the week after I picked up the "pekins."See they do kinda stand up taller.....could they be pekin crossed with runner maybe? Thanks for the input!

omg! I saw this and thought it was great! ive been in love with ducks for like evs and I finally got two ducklings last Friday. first a boy pekin duckling, mark, and a (I think girl, possibly boy) khaki Campbell duckling, mercy. they are always together its adorable!!!
