Pekin Duck Club!

One of my ducklings who is about 6 weeks old is keeping her right eye shut a lot. When she opens it, it looks fogged over... Wondering if she is going blind in that eye? Or could it be something worse?? Any thoughts?

Could she have been pecked in it? you can buy at most feed stores Teramycin eye ointment might want to try some with your duck in case of infection. and in the mean time put some ACV into their water they use to wash their faces in. 1-2 tab to 1 gallon of fresh water. I hope she isn't going blind in that eye. ACV does have some healing properties and can soothe an injury.

I am also wondering if it's the nictitating membrane that is irritated or infected. I would definitely follow Miss Lydia's suggestions - and please keep us updated.

Those are the ones! I've never had them before so I am hoping they do well. They seem to be so far. I have the mixed colored ones in the big garden and I have cosmic purple carrots in the small garden. The mixed ones came up very well but the cosmic purple one did not. I think I planted 100 and have about 30 that came up. The small garden gets dry very fast though so I think that must be why.
they are so good. At least yours are home grown. Cool. I had never seen them before and discovered them at wf a couple yrs ago. Can u water the area where it's so dry more so that they can flourish.

Well we thought we had a male and female pekin duck but I have been finding 2 eggs one blueish and one cream. Our ducks differ in size one is largER and one is smaller And so are the eggs..... well 2 females it is....
