Pekin Duck Club!

I have a house to go look at tomorrow, pet friendly yet its in a town so she is saying no ducks. The typical person who believes a duck needs a pond and they will survive on their own in the wild... Its sad... To add to it, my current landlord is elderly and has been sick for months, in and out of hospitals, rehabilitation, nursing homes so his daughter and son in law are taking over so no ducks!!!! I am beside myself, lily and JoJo are my other kind of children. I met a lady through byc actually that is willing to take them. She has 4 other Pekins, acres of land, a man made pond, she sent me a picture of her daughter holding the one duck. It would be a great home for them. Yet, I don't want to give them up!!! I should do it now before its too late and they have no where to go. I can't believe this is happening. I keep thinking what do I do? But I really don't have a choice.!!!:hit

Oh no. I am so sorry. I know how much you and Ry love them. I wish it didn't have to be that way. Miss Lydia is right. If you can visit the prospective owner 1st, that would be great. I am glad she's on BYC and has acreage and duck experience. I really wish there was a great house that would take you all.
 
Well 2 houses yesterday, the first one I didn't like, the second- wrong, everything about the situation was wrong. I have one to go look at @ 2 today and he will allow my ducks so hopefully all goes well! :fl

I can duck sit. I will keep them for you, and once your situation changes, you can take them home. You also can visit often. I know how attached you are to Jo Jo, and now miss lily. We would need just a little time to make appropriate accomodations, but I would hate to see you lose such precious pets.

I wish you lived by me and I would take you up on that offer. I feel horrible, I've been grilling the lady with questions who said she wants them! I think I'm trying to find something wrong. I'm pathetic. But they are my kids from another mother lol hopefully all goes well at the place I'm going to look at in a lil bit and I won't have to give them upbthen! But the dh lost his job too. They did winter lay offs and he hasn't been there long enough to collect anything. He'll get another job but he worries constantly and won't spend a dime. So now I'm worried that even if this place is perfect, he won't get it so he won't have to for k out any money. Its about $300 more than we pay now but its a house not apartment and what we want is a bigger place which it is!
