I have chicken eggs and duck eggs. Both. I took them away from mom because we had an infection of ants and I need to treat the area. I know they will sit on them when they want to. And it got very cold again

I going to add another heating lamp these weekend over it. My ducks where saragents to the chicken eggs. And there own eggs. We will adgest things. A lot going on. We put snowflake in there when hope was just starting to lay a lot of destruction. They where moved from old owners house to mine.

I don't open the incubator unless I have to take care of a distress bird or duck.or add water to the second incubator. It wasn't put in for lock down.

hi guys last spring I bought a pekin drack from a meat sale ( no I am not going to eat him) I bought him for $3 I got him home and my mom and sister fell head over heels in love with him . He wasn't even at his new home 5 minutes and he got a name. Aflac because supposable when he quakes it sounds like he is saying Aflac I will get a pic of him later on today

here is Aflac he likes the runners better than the other pekins ( the runner hens ) is this common

I would not candle eggs everyday. Two to three times if that in a hatch. I rarely candle them.i do speratically randomly.dont open on lock down unless a chick/ duck needs help or water/food or needs to be placed in the brooder coop.i have two incubators one is set for first 18 days the other one set for lock down.sept these hatch was confused because we had to many eggs going at one time and very speratically. Different times. Inside and outside. We wanted to test if the ducks could hatch chicken eggs and there own at the same time in different nesting areas and our usual batch in incubators. We wanted to see if we could confuse nature rules on genetic parental traits in chickens. Because incubaton is not natures natural solutions . Duck/ chicken mothers best. Then siragents then last possible incubators.
