Pekin Duck Club!

I 've got 3 pekin mixes hatched and 1 more almost out of the shell. I did loose 1 pekin durring the night though, my humidity dropped below 50 and it never progressed. I still have you mystery chick eggs in the bator too

Next I setting 10 more pekin mixes and mallard eggs and 14 chiken eggs.

are perkins good in the winter and can you train them to be like a dog go by the door if they need to go to the bathroom???

My pekin handled it just fine in Wisconsin As for training no idea.

Unfortunately ducks don't have sphincter muscles to control themselves, other than bathroom training ducks can be clicker-trained like other animals

I have three beautiful pekins turning a week old tomorrow. One is crested, he's a day or two younger than the rest.

This pic is a couple days old.... trust me, they're a lot bigger.

Hows the little ones?

They're doing good ( except 1). The two closest to the camera are the pekin mixes, the one furtherest is a Mallard mom, and rouen/pekin mix dad. I do have 1 more in the incubator that is pretty week and has an unhealed naval so only time will tell on that one.

Aww they are so cute I hope the other little one pulls through!

Yeah, they're my first. It's been a long few days so far, but it's mellowing out.
