I don't think that chemicals of any kind are good for them, or for you either. If you poison the insects, and the ducks happen to eat the poisoned insects, then that's bad.

I already have 7 pekins and I have 3 more getting ready to hatch but my fully grown 3 are mine for pets and the rest for meat but im gunna let my female go broody i might as well

Yes I have a extremely demanding jumbo Pekin duckling and she cries when she is alone! ( luckily I will not eat her so I get to see her personality when she is older!)

Silly question, I have two Pekin's Marley and Puddles that are a month and two weeks, is there a way to tell if they are males or females yet? No new quaking sounds yet, and I am watching the tail feathers. If I have a Drake how do they do with the rest of my flock, as they are all hens.

Here is a pic of my two watet hating pekins. They are very skittish of me as we had an incident last weekend she I tried to get them to swim, and they freaked out!

They were raised with two Easter Eggers, and I think the ee's think they are ducks! One ee even tried to swim with them in all the chaos!

Here's my three girls (2 months old) - Big Baby, Dragon, and Yoshi. I was feeding them kale but they got distracted by my pants. Haha!
