Pekin Duck Club!

Hey guys! So I have a pekin duck named quacky. He's almost 2 years old. Because of my new work schedule it's too much to take care of him right now and I'm trying to find him a new nice home. I live in Staten Island,New York. Any suggestions?! I have no idea where to bring a duck.

I have been looking for a drake for my girls! I am in CT and I think staten island is not too far, I have been there before. He would have two pekin hens to himself! Please PM me and we can talk!

I'm a few hours away, and have a friend with family on SI who is down there regularly. It would not be much trouble for one of us to get him. We have a small group of very spoiled breeding pekins, plus lots of other ducks - khaki campbells, saxonies, and Muscovies. We could use the outside genetics for our flock, and are always looking for good breeding birds. We took in one duck last year from someone who could no longer keep him, and are no strangers to providing a home for animals.

I have a 10 month old pekin female named Diva. She started laying about a week before Christmas. Every time I would take the eggs out of her best she would move her nest. So after the second move I left some eggs in there and marked them and only collect the unmarked eggs. Soon those eggs are gonna get nasty. Should I chunk them and just let her pout and move her nest again? She is not broody at all!

Buy some fake eggs or golf balls and try that. Mine think golf balls are eggs.

Ok. So she's just a little crazy but we can live with that. I'd really like her to move her nest back under their shelter, so I may need to make her pout and move them before I enable her silliness again.

you have to love her for that. Silly Diva!!

Hey, all that crazy fits right in, here.
