Pekin Duck Club!

Will Peking drakes attempt to mate other drakes? S/he was neck grabbing attempting to mount one of my Khaki Campbell's then chase around the yard when s/he wouldn't submit. I am not even sure either are drakes since they are only 12 weeks old and neither have drake feathers.

well ive tried herding them and that didnt work at all lol so i guess ill have to try and catch them. any other suggestions
I sprinkled pellets right at the edge of my pond and floated some floating fish algae tabs.... My 2 skittish babies went for it after a few tries. I did it for their morning feeding. Picked up the food bowls the night before and brought them and their bowls to edge of pond. Instincts kick in: eat drink stomp in mud check out water! Took a few tries though

I'd say too cool off and/or to get the high value yummies! All the best nasty bugs and creepy crawlies are in shady, damp spots..... Under leaves, downed logs, rocks.... My ducks FAVORITE treats are after a rain storm, they head for the dirt driveway, and it's a fight for the earthworms and night crawlers!!!

I just gave my pekins a little bit of watermelon to try... They looked at it like it was an intruder in their pen! They both just sat very still and didn't make a sound. So I tossed some peas in there and they devoured everything within seconds! Everything is so much better with PEAS!

Yaaaaaa! One of last years babies sitting on her own clutch!!! I knew she was laying randomly, an recently my egg collection had dropped by 1, every morning.... Turns out she was collecting them instead! Hopefully she's as successful as mom Peep. She's got 10 beautiful white eggs. One of the geese was hanging out there so I hadn't checked that area. When I did, mr goose got very hissy and a bad case of snake neck! Turns out he was guarding his favorite duck! (they generally pal around together)
