Pekin Duck Club!

Here is JoJo in his new undies! And him and Ryleigh in the hall. But @Juliebird we went to my parents, they loved him, amazed at how he was. My mother was p!aying with him and the hose. Surprise, he's not a diseased and filthy creature that attacks and bites! Lol everyone got a kick out of the diaper.

Yay! He and Ryleigh are both such doll babies! What do they both think of his new diaper? Glad your family enjoyed him!!

@Debs Flock , the, they love , he is still getting used to it. He was will only wear it so long before he trys getting it off which he can't but I know he's annoyed so I take it off and then he walks right into his room. He is so good, I don't have him blocked off or anything. He stays in his spot when he has diaper on

she's not too fond of being caught or held and I took the picture after I let her down. So its hard to see the black spot. It's in the middle of her bill.
Some of that looks like bits of dirt and scuff marks. It doesn't look like anything to worry about, but you might want to take a look at post #6966 on page 697 of this thread. The nutritional / treats advice would still apply. Not sure if the Neosporin is necessary in your case because I can't tell if that's an injury or just the normal spotting that often happens on sexually mature ducks with yellow or orange bills. I think I'd try cleaning the bill and doing the Neosporin since it isn't going to hurt her as long as you avoid the nares. The normal spotting typically doesn't occur until after they've started laying.

Ok thank you. When I picked her up to check the spot I rubbed it to see if it was mud. It didn't seem to bother her at all. So I don't think it's painful. As for nutritional needs- they are on Purina Flock Raiser and whatever they naturally eat in their pen like bugs, worms, and grass. They get a couple handfuls of peas at bedtime.

Eeeeee, Squeeeee. JoJo is soooo cute. I love how beautiful be is. And I am happy be went over well with your parents. The diaper is great and I think his cleanliness is due to how well you take care of him. Love the pic of little Ryleigh with him.

Just keep working with Jojo, he's gotta learn that walking free in the house = tolerating his diaper! :p

Also, have you put any thought into getting him spayed? I know it may sound ridiculous, but if you don't intend on breeding him someday, now's the time to do it. Once he hits puberty he'll likely become ornery and a bit difficult to handle. Wobbles was a such a sweetheart before he became a man, LOL!
