Ok I'm desperate! I looked out tonight and saw my poor little Peck sleeping all alone while the peacocks and turkeys perched. I'll do anything to get him some girlfriends. I'm in Sierra Vista AZ. If anyone has any or knows or any, please please contact me!!!
Peck had a brother who was killed by a coyote and has been alone ever since. I've been looking for girlfriends but can't find any.

I have adopted 6 adult female ducks in the last few months, and they were very easy to find. I live in Utah, and most people in my area use KSL classified ads - It's a news website, and for some reason, most people sell things there and not on graigslist. Do you have something similar in AZ? There are so many ducks that need homes, I'm sure you will find some.

I would not try to cut the broken part of the nail off yet.  That will be a hard part of the foot to treat - I have had nail injuries I've treated on the back toe, and it wasn't hard to treat.  What I've done is soak the foot in an Epsom solution, or with a compress if she won't hold still long enough for a bath - it can be hard to prevent them from drinking the water.  Dry the foot, then apply a generous amount of neosporin (without painreliever) to the nail.  Cover with gauze to provide cushion while walking, and wrap with vet wrap.  Mine have healed remarkably quickly, and never showed signs of infection.  Keep the first bandage on for at least 24 hours, then leave it off part of the day so it can get air, then repeat the process until it looks healed enough to keep the bandage off full time.  With one of my ducks, that was a week, with the other - only 3 days. 

Where do I get vet wrap? I've never even heard of it. I want to do this immediately! Thanks!

I think instead of cutting her nails   I would be to soak her feet in some warm Epsom salt water half cup to half gallon of water that will also help with the bottom of her feet too.  JoJo been sticking his nose up under things?  He's most likely okay but hopefully someone else has seen this.

You can usually get it at feed stores and pet stores, but I'd call around if I were you both to make sure they have it and to find out in what sizes. We keep an assortment of sizes around just to be prepared for whatever. It also comes in a lot of colors, and I don't recommend the "cute" colors like red, pink, or orange, and I also wouldn't use green. My preference is white, but you'll have to see what's locally available since you don't have time to order it.

Re the bruises on JoJo's bill, do they just look like little spots, or is there a textural change to that part as well? Bruising is possible and nothing to be concerned about if it's that minor. I would keep an eye on it to see if it gets better or worse since that can also be a sign of a fungal infection, kind of like what humans can get around their fingernails and toenails.

Looks pretty neat, but I'll have to take a closer look later. All I looked at was the duck category. I remember having seen that on Pinterest as well, probably because I have birds listed as one of my interests, but I had never gotten around to checking out the site.
