Few days till hatching, then plus 3 days to bring them home!!

So are they on their way home now?

The ducks are in and out. Eating and drinking, then back out to play in the snow.
The chickens aren't amused, and want to know when the evil white stuff will be gone.

I have 2 male Pekins, but I have to keep them separated from the chickens... I was so hoping for a girl and a boy. Just wish I could trade for a girl.....I hate to pen them up separately......

@Julez21 Go to the "where am I where are you" thread look up your state and ask if anyone has Pekins and might be interested in doing some trading.. We also have a buy sell trade thread on here too.

Good morning! I've got a question about my ducks. I have four Swedish females and one pekin Drake. They're about 7 months old they haven't started mating. Yesterday I noticed one of the larger female Swedish was holding another female underwater and mounting her on the back then she was chasing everybody around. The drake is totally oblivious. Is this her trying to encourage him to mate?

It's her way of saying that you need to give me your Swedish ducks. :-D
I hate to ask, but are you sure that she's a she and he's a he?
In the absence of a male, a female will act as a male. Maybe she is saying she needs him to get moving.

Lol! That's kind of what I was thinking she's trying to tell him to get off his butt and get it done. He's totally oblivious! Like most men I guess. I have a dozen Pekin eggs in the incubator. She started to chase him around a little angry as well! Lol! Thanks for your insight...

He looks like he really put on weight, I'm glad they like the snow n cold weather!!!! They have a great duck mama!!!!

Any ideas on how to get her to lose a pound or two? It being winter, I understand she isn't foraging as much. I don't over do the cracked corn (which goes back to "it's winter"). I just think it looks like she needs to shed a little bit of weight.
