Try letting the bird have a bath in warm water 2-3 a day if doesn't stop you can try a little apple cider Bragg vinager and a little bit of epic salt.

We moved our 5 week old ducklings outside last weekend, They have a secure run and a heated coop and have been doing great. Previously we had the coop in the garage with a wire run for them and they were putting themselves to bed when it got dark since moving outside we have to herd them into their coop each evening.

Today we are expecting rain and maybe a thunderstorm in the afternoon so it will be interesting to see if they will go inside or sit it out. Yesterday was nearly 80F and I was showering them with the hose and they loved it goofballs!!! I'm hoping they will know the difference between a soft shower from a hose and a heavy downpour.

Still no names ... they are collectively known as The Crazy Gang.

I have 5 ducklings about 10 weeks old, we call them "The Mob"! LOL

Looks like he's beginning to molt.  I would watch him, but I suspect it's molting.

I have heard of people giving turmeric to ducks but I don't know a particular dosage.

Thank you so much for the reply! So it is normal for him to pull all of his good condition wijg feathers? I thought molting was just the downy ones.

My Pekin flock(not yet 2mos old) are in a fenced garden area and have been LOVING all the storms. We even had tornado warnings popping up one night and even though they were in the chicken tractor that night they stayed where they could get rained on and were playing in their water pan. I'd love to know what your duck houses look like and what your experiences are with where they lay their eggs. We have 7 ladies and 1 drake.

I have a pekin duck that has a leg problem. Help!!! Hes two weeks old and hasnt been able to walk on his one leg for about 4 days. I have added poly vi sol without iron to hos water and added brewers yeast to his food thinkig it was a niacin problem. His foot started to swell so i wrapped it for 5 minutes in a towel soaked in epsom salt and water. It now looks like the knee is turning kind of purple and i cant see the veins in the webbing of his feet. Im trying everything. Please help!

a question for old timers. Who knows the laws. Swedish ducks or protected by state and federal laws on a government watch list on endangered animals. These goes with any endanger animal. But my question is does these go for there eggs also. The gas company was out a few weeks ago. Without or permission they where messing around with meter. I am not sure if these is affecting my eggs. I will get a lock some how to lock it up . But how do you protect these animals from government employees or anyone who wants to hurt them. I no how to protect them from animal predators . But people it's harder

I'm not sure what your asking here... But If your saying that a gas station some how messed up a meter on their property and it may have effected your eggs than I don't think you can do anything
