Pekin Duck Club!

Bear with me here, Folks! I'm a newbie so I'm not sure if I'm in the right thread / forum?? See, I don't even know the lingo! LOL
That being said, I'm as clueless about these Perkins as I am about navigating through this site!
I'll catch on...
So, I'm a Peking Mom by default. I moved into a house with 6 ducks in a ridiculously small pen and a rooster and a hen roaming freely. They had no food or water! In July! In CALIFORNIA!!!
Flash forward to today. I have a drake and a hen
Sounds like they needed rescued and you moved in. Good to have you on BYC Welcome @Duck Heiress

it looks like the eggs my Pekin lays also. My duck's eggs are a dull white and they are the size of the one in the picture

The ducklings have joined the flock.

How often do they lay? Also, BTW, not sure what picture you're referring to. About twice the size of a large chicken egg? My Indian runners are great layers. They lay blue eggs the size of a jumbo chicken egg, 5 or 6 times a week. I have a half dozen female Pekins, and 2 drakes: they are only about 10 weeks old, so not laying yet.

My pekins are insane layers, I have four who have finished molting and started laying again, one has been laying for the last 3 weeks and only taken 1 day off, ones been laying for almost 2 weeks nonstop and the other two just started up this week. Mine lay white eggs that are around 75 grams.

Hello,
I wonder if you would know why my Peking is turning yellow. I have a feeling it is the corn they are eating. Would that cause it? They also seem to be losing their white feathers, especially one of the large females. She is a pastel yellow almost all over now.
Thank you.

How old are they? Could they be young? Young Pekins are yellow.
