Thanx. Got another question for y'all. I have a Mallard or Rouen not sure which yet. And it's too young to tell gender, but in sun today I noticed green sheen to top of head...Do females have that. Posting pic but hard to see true color in pic. But it's the spot on top head that looks a bit different in pic...Can only tell in sunlight... Otherwise just looks wet or flattened feathers.![]()

OH found a 2 month pic where you can see their heads better! Thank you..That helped I wasn't sure if the females would have any green sheen to their head. I know they don't get the recognizable green head like males but wasn't sure bout the little bit of it showing in sun. I really think gonna turn out female cuz she's kinda loud but still too young to know for sure. Just starting to get blue on side.(Daffy and Donald on the left) Tigger (male) is on the left you can see his feathers are starting to change and Momma is on the right both have the green head "sheen"
I did this with mine, it would irritate my husband to no end! He said "JUST WAIT!!!" LOLYes it does...I keep going back n forth about who's male n female too.
