Hi,
I’m a new here, and my question is this.
I am on day 5 of lockdown with my Pekin eggs, day 30 of total incubation. One of the ducklings hatched early, on day 26, he’s very strong and feisty! Lol
I have have four left in the incubator.
One has externally pipped, but it’s been over 24 hours and he’s not making any progress. I hear him chirping, and every once in a while his beak will pop out of the hole, but he’s getting no where, and when he does move it’s very slow and seems weak.
Would it hurt to take off the piece of loose shell for him? It looks like it’s just sitting on the egg ready to fall off. I know we’re not supposed to help, but it’s driving me crazy!
I’d appreciate any advice! Thanks!
Oh, the other three eggs are just sitting there. Do you think there’s still a chance they could hatch?
