Pekin Duck Lifespan?

I've heard so much mixed information about this that I'm not sure what to go with. How long, on average, would you say Pekins and Jumbo Pekins live? I'm not sure if mine are jumbo or not but they're probably 12-13 lbs at least each. One's so large its belly is almost scraping the ground. They WADDLE big time. I've heard estimates as low as 5 years and as high as 15 years. I know they're meat birds and not designed for longevity. What's been true for y'all?

It all depends on care and each Bird.......no one can give you are real lifespan on anything.......

All things being perfect(not perfect perfect, coz then they'd live forever ), though, I would estimate 7 years.

Oh okay thanks! I think they're jumbos. I'm hoping to get as much time as I can - I love my boys! It's hard to remember they're still babies. They're only 8 months old but huuuggee

One of my duck keeping friends said she's seen Pekins generally make it around 7 years, though some do live longer.
