Here is bingo now at almost a year old. My husband always laughs because of how big he is and says I need to lay off on the treats :lau they may be a tad bit spoiled

hi there, have you ever heard of pekins having some brown in their feathers around week 5 and then going away? All of your pictures match my pekins, but now they have some brown and people tell me they are runners. Just confused because they look identical to pekins.

I'm glad I found this thread! I've never had ducklings before. I am doing well. Having trouble with wet for sure but, when I saw the wings on every one of them this morning I was like !!! Lol. They look exactly like this. From head to tail. Thank you for taking the time to post this. I was wondering if I hadn't cleaned out the chicken pen enough, or I wasnt keeping them dry enough.
Been a HOT august. Over 90* days. Perfect for any bird baby almost. They've gotten lucky. They were panting in the house under the light. Even with AC on so I moved my chickens to the new coop. Cleaned out the chicken pen that connects to the coop that's inside at the back of the garage. I cleaned out the cattle feed bowl. Filled it with water, added bedding, and moved the ducklings. Theres a sand floor outside and a woodchips one inside. They've been happy. Healthy. I push them through the coop door a couple times a day to make sure theyer dry for a bit at least but, it's hot. They want outside in the water and then to nap underneath the coop steps in the shade. They dont clump or look cold at all..... to me. At night, I push them through the coop door and lock them up. Give water and food inside and they stay happy until morning. It was even so hot 2 nights, they were panting. I opened up the coop door and wired shut the oen door for extra protection. They seemed to have a much better day that day. Waking up and going outside on their own, no matter the age, seems to matter with most birds. Makes em happy.
And then today, the wings. They looked wow! Like this! What did you ducklings do to yourselves?, I thought. It looks like this. Like they rubbed them off. Lol probably did rub some off because they itch when they get loose! Hahaha oh THANK YOU
