This could be more than a niacin def. poor baby. Your doing all you can besides vet care.

When I got him he was missing feathers on his neck with a scalp like he had been pecked or something and though the scalp has been gone for awhile he still has like slight hole kinda like a scare their . Could that injury have caused all these issues ?

That’s where phone calls will have to be made. And I have no idea if they can do something they will have to do an examination first to determine what maybe wrong. Is the little one eating? Drinking and pooping?

Yes , I’ve been checking them every two hours even at night because I’m scared he will get stuck on his back all night.

Sounds like maybe some adults poultry may have gotten hold of him. Usually they recover pretty quick. I’d def keep up with the liquid b complex.

All good signs if eating and drinking and pooping you might try scrambled egg after I lost two of my Runners to shipping stress I was frantic to save the two left. I scrambled them a small egg mashed it up real fine and they chopped down on it like it was their last meal and began to make a wonderful recovery.

does anyone know the best brand and type of niacin for ducklings ? A picture of it would be appreciated thank you !

Sounds like your baby might have another issue? Niacin is always a good start and a good bet. Like someone else said should recover in 2-3 days if that’s the issue. I had a pekin duckling who needed niacin more than the others, I supplied him with brewers yeast on feed. However since then I’ve also purchased nutritional yeast flakes which are also put on feed. Another excellent source is liquid b complex which, as others have said, you can put on mealworms, oats, or simply give orally. Other ideas are peas, and chopped up unsalted peanuts. My flock has liked both of those. You can also purchase niacin capsules (make sure NOT flush free) and mix the capsules with their water! Best of luck to you!!!
