This is my first experience with Pekin Ducks and I am winging it here (LOL) but I have a few questions that maybe someone could answer. I have three ducks and I am not sure if they are male or female. They are about 2 months old now and they are beautiful. None of them have a upward curl stemming from the back of their feathers so I am assuming they might all be females? If they are all females do I need a male for them to lay eggs? Thanks

Do you hear them quack females have a loud quack males are low and raspy/dry quack. You do not need a male for them to lay eggs. Pics could help with sexing.

All three of them have a loud quack/honk. One of the three is smaller and more hyper and she/he has a couple black feathers mixed in. She/he is the first one to come up and feed out of my hand but doesn't like to be picked up! First I thought this one was the female because she was smaller and more anxious and now she has been pushing on the other two with her beak. So now I'm not sure if this one is the male. When do the males grow the curled up feather which is supposed to be determinant of a male duck? Thanks

I don't now the age they get it but try googling male duck sound. They sound so different from females. Once you hear it you will be able to tell.
