Hello all! I am new to this site and new to the world of duck ownership. My family and I recently “rescued” a duck from Atwood’s that was put in with chicks who then attacked him, once they realized this, they put him in his own bin but all the other ducks were already gone so he was pecked & linely. 
We decided to bring him home and to give him the love and attention he deserves. Anywvo, back to my question... The lady at the store told us he was a Pekin, he was all yellow so that’s what we have assumed he was since we got him. His feathers are now starting to come in and they look brown! So he’s turning white with brown feathers coming in. I suppose he’s not a Pekin, so is he a runner? Or maybe he’s something else entirely. Here are some pictures. Any input would be greatly appreciated!!
