I came home today like I alway's do and went into the backyard to check on everybody. I notice when I walk through the gate that one of "my" pekins was laying under the four wheeler and the other's were busy screaming at me.... I also noticed that he had some dried blood on his back. I picked him up and went to checking him over.... as I am doing this I do a head count of everybody.... I should have 8 khaki's and 4 pekins....well I had 8 khaki's and 4 pekins and I was holding a pekin.... um hello where did you come from. Took me a minute but I figured out where the duck came from. The people we bought our house from has a son that I asked me the other day if I wanted some more ducks....some body have gave him some and they were slowly going missing one by one.... I told him yes. Well, I guess he decided to try and catch them.... he brought me 2....needless to say, I didn't know there was 2 until my neighbor came through the gate and came towards me holding a duck and said " um, Miss. Tiffany, what is wrong with this little guy?"..... I look up and this duck is holding its head backwards and is just not looking good. Now, I have 2 sick ducks.... HELP!! I have no idea what is wrong with this duck, and they have been around my ducks, ugh. I called the "owner" and he said that the one with dried blood on his back was attacked by a dog, imagine that. The other one he said was fine when he brought it over here. I don't think so, the duck was still in the same spot he left him....... I need to know if I can give ducks the same meds that I give chickens. I have both of them quarantined away from my ducks. I really do not think the one is going to make it, and the other one is stressed. I have done the normal stuff.... water with vitamins and electro's, and food... not sure about antibotics......
Any info will be sooooo helpfull
ETA: the one that was attacked has 4 punture wounds......2 on the stomach and 2 on the back.
